About Me

Though I’ve been working as a therapist for 14 years, this was not where I thought I’d end up. Before choosing to work in the mental health field I had only a vague idea of what career path I would take. My eclectic work history is a good indicator of that! In addition to many retail positions, I have variously worked in radio promotions, event planning, as a receptionist and in office administration. It wasn’t until I experienced the end of a difficult relationship in my late 20’s and was helped tremendously by a therapist that I began to see a career path I wanted to settle on.

It turned out that when I looked back on all my previous work that the aspects of those jobs I found most rewarding was making a connection with other people. I loved hearing their stories, I loved getting to know them at a heart-level. And that is what this work means to me: meeting people in the heart-place and offering a mirror to my clients so they can see themselves in a new way. Maybe you’ll notice a behaviour pattern that isn’t working for you anymore, maybe you’ll find that you have been operating from an understanding of yourself that’s 20 years out of date, maybe you’ll find that you really do have strength to manage life’s difficulties and you always have!

I love to travel and being on a journey with my clients, no matter how long or short is always an honour and an adventure. Let’s get together and see where we end up.
